To remove the spark plug wire in 190e one needs a long nosed plier. Next go for the metal part just above the plugs and grip them tightly and pull up. To fix it all you need to do is to push it with your fingers. Done

Depending on the spark plug manufacturer, the plugs for a 1988 Mercedes 190E 2.3 should be gapped between .030" to .032". Bosch and Denso recommend .032", while NGK recommends .030".
The same way you gap spark plugs for any car that uses spark plugs.

I dont have a diagram sorry! But they are on the opposite side of your air filter on the side of the engine. There will be spark plug wires that run along side and into the engine. The spark plugs are under the caps of these wires bolted on the engine. When you remove the leads ensure that you know which one goes to which sparkplug. Because not to cross thread them or snap them. If they are tight use some penetrate and release agent to free them.Spark plugs can be a major cause of hunting and poor idle. Many of the generic ones and new style multi sparks are not suitable for the 190E. It is worth checking the insulators on the your plugs for cracks, if there are any signs then replace them. They can be bought for £9 including VAT at the Mercedes dealerships.
I guess you are talking about to remove the ignition cable from connecting with spark plugs, you just need to pull it out by hand, pls don't hold the cable but to hold the boot (end) and pull it out, same for the both end.
A Mercedes 190e doesn't have a carburetor. They are fuel injected.
Gaps are from .028" thou to 0.035" thou. Preference is for 0.028" thou.

On my 1984 190E, it is simple - there are a couple of tabs at the bottom of the back seat (where your heels would be if you were sittng), you have to look, the seat will pull right out!
Open the bonnet, remove the scuttle cover, wiper motor, and finally blower motor.
