Chalk comes from underground : if you are talking about chalk that you write with on cement. Anyways, here is how you can make it at home.
Items Needed :
- a ziplock bag (something that will close completely)
- rock salt
- baking powder
- a t-spoon
- a small cup (a bathroom paper cup - or at least similar to that)
- a measuring thing, to measure ml
- water
INSTUCTIONS (follow them CAREFULLY) :
1st: pick up your t-spoon and measure out 1 t-spoon of baking powder.
2nd: now measure with your t-spoon 2 t-spoons of rock salt.
3rd: pour these into the ziplock bag
4th: measure out 10 ml of water (H20)
5th: now pour that water into the small dixie cup (or whatever you are using)
6th: carefully have someone hold the bag open and set the dixie cup full of water into the bag up-right
7th: close the bag TIGHTLY and try to get ALL OF THE AIR OUT of the bag
8th: pick the bag up and shake it so that the water comes out of the dixie cup
9th: watch what happens; it is pretty cool - observe the bag and touch the bag
10th: take the new substance out of the bag and set it onto something hard and sturdy. Wait for 5 hours and it should be dry by then.
11th: after the 5 hours lift it up in your hands and go outside and play with it on the driveway!!
