And, for some reason, Scourge's father was not there when the kits were growing up. Sure, maybe he died, but maybe he ran off to be with Firestar's mom. If you receive Erin Hunter's author tracker, you know that Erin Hunter said that if you read The Rise of Scourge carefully, you might find the biggest secret of the Warrior books ever, another clue that they are half brothers.
Note: In an online chat on August 16, 2008 at wandsandworlds.com, Erin Hunter confirmed that Scourge and Firestar are half-brothers.
