Takis are flavored corn chip snack food and have nothing to do with being a front for the cartel.
Buy some takis, eat some, and you'll have taki powder on your fingers, there you go. haha
That might be what people think but I think Barcel Takis Fuego are mini corn tortilla chips that are rolled up like a small taco (similar to the deep fried taquitos). Takis Fuego are made from corn, palm oil, seasoning among others. Takis Fuego are made in Mexico and imported to the US. But it's up to you!
Take small/medium sized corn tortillas and dip them lightly in lime juice. Coat the tortillas in chili and wrap them around a straw. Slide the straw out, making sure the tortillas keep their shape and put them on a baking sheet in the oven at 360 degrees until the Takis are crispy. You can re-season your Takis when they come out or leave them as they are.

Takis are a mini corn ship snack, but are rolled up like a fried taquito. There are several different varieties of Takis, so the ingredients will vary. Basicially, they are made with corn masa, vegetable oil, salt, sugar, seasonings, flavors, artificial colors, antioxidants, and processing aids. The product label is the best source of ingredient information.
The healthiest chip is the Blue Corn Chip. I buy the house brand from Target - Archer Farms Blue Corn Chips. I'm not sure if they are the lowest calorie chip or not, though, but they are healthy. (Then, I run over to WalMart and buy some Taco Bell salsa.)
