The ERG valve is a valve in the turbo/supercharger system that controls boost pressures to the manifold. Normally it is hooked up to the computer system and the throttle body. Sometimes just the throttle body.
The EGR valve is mounted to the intake manifold usually on the passanger side of the engine back near the distributor. You will have to pull the air cleaner off to see it or reach it easily.
There is no vacuum at the nipple on the EGR VALVE. The Vacuum line that hooks to it should suck your finger when you speed the engine up. That line will come from the TBI ( Throttle Body Injection housing) and hook to the EGR valve, and when the engine RPMs. go up it sucks the EGR VALVE OPEN. UNDERSTAND.
I have a yellow oily substance in my egr valve. What could it br?
The 1999 doesn't have an EGR.
No but if there is still an EGR valve problem then its the EGR Valve switch located at the back of the motor. I replaced my EGR valve 2 times before I figured out it was the electrical switch, which had burnt up, for the egr valve. I havent had a problem with the EGR since then..
The EGR valve is located at the front of the h22a4 engine. The EGR valve is right beside of the front of the EGR valve.
where does your PVC valve hose hook up to from the valve cover on a 6 l motor
