The fuel filter should be on the rear in the middle of the chassis. If not there Look on the driver side Chassis between the driver side tire and the door.

Ford F-150 filters can really only go on in one direction. If you bought a Ford or Napa fuel filter ther will be an arrow, showing fuel flow, that is on the filter just make sure the arrow points towards the engine.
