I found this picture of a Standard Motor Products camshaft position sensor for a 2002 Ford Ranger 2.3L under Ignition in the RockAuto.com catalog: http://www.rockauto.com/ref/SMP/SMPDetail2.html?PC430.jpg Pictures for the other Ranger engines are probably also available in the catalog (go to Ignition and hit "More Info" next to the part). Knowing what the part looks like should help you track it down.
sounds like you need to change the plugs and wires
If it's like a 1991 Ford Explorer ( with the 4.0 liter V6 engine ) It has ( 1 ) oxygen sensor
The MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor is generally located in the air inlet snorkel between the air filter box and the throttle body.
what does a fuel pump look like in a 1989 ford ranger 4 cyl.
If there is problems with shaking in a Ford ranger, it could be a lot of different things, like the cam sensor or the fuel filter. It would be a good idea to have it looked at professionally just in case, to avoid anything happening down the road.
I have a 2003 ford ranger v6 with 161000 miles and still run like new
it is a high voltage sensor...but i would like to know where it is located
I've had my 2002 ford ranger for 8 years with 141000 on the clock and its still going strong.I've had no major faults. If yours has the Mazda engine in it like mine then they will go on forever.. Good Luck...
Where is the starter and what does it look like on 2002 f250 ford diesel?
diagram
If it's a 4 cylinder 2.3 liter motor the coolant gauge will have one wire. The terminal on the sensor will appear to look like it has threads on it.
