The O-ring on your Ford Sport Trac's thermostat is typically placed in the groove of the thermostat housing. It creates a seal between the thermostat and the housing, preventing coolant leaks. Ensure that the O-ring is properly seated before reassembling to ensure a tight fit. Always refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific instructions related to your model.
According to my 2001 Sport Trac Manual Fuses 4,5,23 @ 32 are not used for anything.

Ok, I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport (not a trac, but I believe most of the electrical system is similar). My lights went off when I turned the switch that is toward the bottom of the rear view mirror all the way to the left.
( 5 quarts ) with engine oil filter change
The wires are Gray (from the PCM), and Gray-Red, (from fuse-box)
you go in from the backside of the headlight assembly (under hood) it come out similar to the way we used to change tail light bulbs
There is no reset for the light. The light is on because you have a problem with the charging system. Once the problem is corrected the light will go out. Normally the light comes on when the alternator stops functioning.

They had all the diargams and instructions to fin d the code for the Sport Trac along with other Ford keypads....it worked for me and was a mere $10.00 Heres the item number for what i am talking about! Go to Ebay and in the search box type this number 170065810714 and it will pull up the item.
