- kokura
- nagasaki
- niigata
had japan not surrendered after the 3 planned atomic bombs of august more cities would have been added to this list as needed. considering the fact that the US had plans and production capacity to drop 23 atomic bombs on japan before the end of 1945, it is possible that once the invasion began in october future target selection might have been handed over entirely to the field commanders on tinnian according to the needs of combat.
