Any big modern city. Where theres lots of people theres lots of crime. Morgues are always behind in their work. Same with most of the pathology labs. This is because cities like to build and dont like to maintain what they have already built. There are always guys in office who like the glory for new projects that they can get their names on. It is quite dumb to build cities and not put in the money to do proper jobs in departments.
Forensic psychologists primarily work with living individuals, such as victims, offenders, and witnesses in legal cases. They do not typically work directly with deceased individuals. However, they may become involved in cases that involve post-mortem analysis of behavior or psychological factors.
Alot.
Forensic Pathologists have the responsibility of determining a specific cause of death to a human being.
Becoming a forensic pathologist is not easy.It takes a minimum of 13 years education and training after high school to become a forensic pathologist. It also takes a strong stomach because it can be a gruesome, smelly and disgusting job.
about 3 1/2 weeks
Forensic pathologists, physicians who complete a residency in anatomic pathology and a fellowship in forensic pathology, in public service (i.e. work for a state, county or city MEs office) make between approximately 10,000 - 20,000 per month, depending on experience level, community, and other factors. Some forensic pathologists work privately doing private autopsies and/or testifying in court as expert witnesses. Some do very well financially doing this.
Forensic scientists search for PROOF. Forensic pathologists search for cause of death, forensic firemen search for causes of fires, especially arson. The main thing is proof for legal reasons.
Forensic anthropologists can help identify remains that are in an advanced stage of decomposition. They often work with forensic pathologists in determining cause of death.
We have to travel to court to testify on our cases. So State Forensic Pathologists travel all over their State, which is pretty fun in places like Alaska or New Mexico that have state offices. But if you work in just one county, then you just get to travel to the county court house. Some Forensic Pathologists get to go to the crime scenes, which involves travel, but not very far. We get to travel when we go to Forensic Pathology conferences for continuing medical education, which are held all over the country. Consultant Forensic Pathologists, who review cases on a private basis, usually for attorneys to help them with their cases, get to review cases from all over the country and many times travel to that place when it becomes time to give their opinion in court.
