I think you are asking "where have you worked" or "where have you been in your career"? Both of these are typical questions for a job interview. They are asking for examples of your experience-- where (in what city, for what company) did you do the work, and what exactly were your duties and responsibilities? For example, I worked in Boston at Emerson College from 1989 to 2008. My duties included teaching, mentoring students, tutoring, and helping to create new and interesting courses.
