Usually it is quite hard to exchange one exotic currency for another in cash.

The safest way would be actually to visit the largest tourists attractions, as they often accept multiple currencies for exchange.

However, you will hardly get any good rate, hence I suggest you to use a credit card and take Lira home (if you are turkish) or keep it until your next trip to Turkey.
