Tarzan and his parents were marooned by mutineers somewhere on the West coast of Africa. Nimmr, the City of the Sepulcher, and Alemtejo were in the mountains of Abbysinnia. Castrum Mare and Castrum Saguinarius were in the Wriramwazi Mountains. Athne, Cathne, Kaji, and Zuli were all in Ethiopia. The city of the Kavuru was in the Congo. Ashair and Thobos were in Rhodesia. Xuja was in Tanganyika. The City of Opar and the City of the Bolgoni were in Zaire (the former Belgian Congo). Chichen Itza was not in Africa, but somewhere in the South Pacific. The Midian Valley and Ur's locations are not identified. There are additional cities and locations that I don't know where they were.

Where was Tarzan born?

In Africa. In Chapter 18 of Tarzan of the Apes, the origin novel, Jane writes to friend from the small cabin on the west African coast in which Tarzan was born, and states that they are located at approximately 10 degrees south latitude. This would place Tarzan's home in Angola, in or near what is now Kissama National Park.

Where were Tarzan movies made?

Angola, in Africa. In the first novel, Tarzan of the Apes, Jane Porter writes a letter to a friend from the treehouse built by Tarzan's father. In her letter she states that they are located on the West African coast at approximately 10 degrees south of the equator. This places the action in modern day Angola, in the area of Kissama National Park. It should be noted that the author was not personally familiar with African geography, and the dense jungles he describes are generally found further north.

Are there any new Tarzan film?

As far as I know, there is no new animated Tarzan film in the making. But if you're asking if another Tarzan film was ever made after the original animated feature, the answer is yes. There were two sequels made. The first, "Tarzan & Jane," came out in 2003. It's a movie that takes place after the end of the original movie. There was a TV series which was called "The Legend of Tarzan," and it ran from 2001 to 2003. Most episodes took place after the end of the first movie, with Jane and her father living in the jungle with Tarzan and his ape family. The second sequel, "Tarzan II," came out in 2005. This was a prequel which explored the childhood of Tarzan more fully. According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), there is going to be a non-animated and non-Disney Tarzan movie opening in Germany in October 2013.

Who is the writer of Tarzan?

Edgar Rice Burroughs created the character of Tarzan and wrote numerous books describing his adventures. In addition, he wrote adventure science fiction series that took place on Mars (John Carter Series), in the Center of the Earth (Pellucidar Series) and other locations. He wrote a few cross-over volumes in which Tarzan, his most popular character, appeared in some of his otherwise unconnected series.

Where in Africa does Tarzan of the aps by Edgar rice take place?

Angola. This is answered in the first novel, Tarzan of the Apes. Sitting in the tree house built by Tarzan's father, Jane Porter writes a letter to a friend and states that they are located on the west coast of Africa, approximately 10 degrees south of the equator. This places them in modern day Angola, in the area of present day Kissama National Park. It should be noted that the author, E. R. Burroughs, was not personally familiar with African geography, and he described a jungle that more closely resembles the coast further to the the north.

Where in Africa was tarazan of the apes taken place?

Equatorial South Africa. I am not sure if any more specific location is given in any of the books. Since Tarzan lives in a fictional Africa, not too much like the real one, invented by the author, there is not a lot of point trying to stick a pin in a map!

What part of Africa did Tarzan live in?

His parents were passengers on a ship traveling down the west coast of Africa that was seized by a mutinous crew. Having done a good deed for the leader of the mutiny, Tarzan's father and his pregnant wife were marooned on the coast rather than murdered. Tarzan was born a few months later.
