According to The Bible anything that is done contrary to God and His laws and commands is sinful and evil. What ever has been written in the Bible about Satan is the evil things he does, He lies, he has the sin of pride as he wants to be god he wants to take God's place. Satan is the head of a group of evil angels and demons. It is declared that Satan is a murderer, he also put treason in Judas' heart to betray the Son of God. The Bible does not say in so many words that Satan is evil, but his works prove him to be evil.

The Bible says that hell will punish the sin of those who reject Christ.

ANOTHER ANSWER:

Contrary to popular religious dogma... the Bible teaches nothing about a "hell-fire" in which people dare supposedly tortured for all eternity -- never dying, but suffering and screaming forever.

Jesus speaks of "Gehenna fire" [original, literal translation], which, eventually, the English translators of God's Word turned into the words "hell fire" [Matt.5:22; 18:9; etc]

Jesus' "Gehenna" is the name of a valley on the outskirts of Jerusalem where trash [and the bodies of incorrigibly wicked criminals] was burned up; and which will be kindled into a "burning Lake of Fire" when Jesus returns. It will burn for the entire duration of His Millennial Rule on the earth, and will still be burning at its conclusion, when the Last Great Day [Judgment Day and final phase of God's plan] will occur [see Rev.20:11-15].

This "hell-fire" [Gehenna fire; Lake of Fire] is going to be a "real" fire that burns things to ashes... just like "real fire" does physical, material things like human bodies. And the results of this fire will last "eternally." Forever. Whatever is burned up in it will no longer exist... forever more. It will be the Eternal Fire from our Eternal Creator and God, Jesus Christ [John 1:1-3].

But also contrary to popular religious dogma... the Bible also teaches that this coming Lake of Fire [hell-fire] is NOT kindled for mankind [although wicked men who fully embrace evil {who love sinning: disobeying God's Commandments - I John 3:4} will be cast into it]. But, it is intended for SATAN AND HIS ANGELS!

"Then the King [Jesus Christ] will turn to those on His left and say, 'AWAY WITH YOU, you cursed ones, into the Eternal Fire..." -- [the best translation of the inspired "YHVH" translated into English as, the 'LORD' is the 'ETERNAL'... the WAS-IS-SHALL BE; the Ever-Living; Eternally-Living One] -- "...PREPARED FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS DEMONS! " (Matt.25:41 NLT New Living Translation)

That's what the Bible says about "hell" [Gehenna] and "Satan" [and his demons]. The coming "Lake of Fire" [Gehenna Fire] in the Judgment is going to BURN UP EVERYTHING SATAN AND HIS DEMONS HAVE WORKED FOR since man was first created, some 6000 years ago.

The Bible tells us that God has "restrained" the Devil and his demons here on earth -- PENDING THEIR COMING TRIAL ON THE LAST GREAT DAY of God's Plan; Judgment Day!

"For God spare even the angels when they sinned; He threw them into hell [tartarus: a spiritual condition of imprisonment or restraint], in gloomy caves and darkness UNTIL THE JUDGMENT DAY." (II Peter 2:4 NLT)

And: "And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them chained in prisons of darkness, WAITING FOR THE DAY OF JUDGMENT." (Jude 1:6 NLT)

Satan and his demons [disobedient angels] were cast down onto the earth since before man was created [see Rev.12:9]... and they have been restrained right here on earth with all of the generations of mankind ever since; influencing man's thoughts and emotions... deceiving and blinding man's slumbering spirit; hearts and minds, with his lies... and playing spiritually-ignorant mankind, one against the other for centuries -- to the woeful destruction, suffering, misery and shedding of one another's blood to the death.

The one type of "hell" of the Bible... the "Gehenna" hell Jesus speaks of which will contain the coming "Lake of Fire" is being "prepared for the Devil and his angels! "

The Devil and his angels, however, are "spirit beings"... and cannot die. And it will be THEY who will be in torment throughout Eternity... not man... as they watch in torment as all their centuries of evil works and efforts, literally, "go up in smoke!" While they, in their eternally-disembodied state suffer the torment that goes with their kind:

"When the unclean spirit [demon] is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, 'I will return unto my house whence I came out." (Luke 11:24 KJV)

Disembodied demons are frustrated and in continuous torment, unless they can "possess" someone or some-thing else. But after the Judgment there will be nothing and no one else for Satan and his angels to possess. They will be "cast into the Lake of Fire," along with all the material things on earth... including incorrigibly wicked men who embrace the wicked disobedience of Satan's ways. Everything that can and will be burned up by fire:

"And the Devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire [Gehenna hell] and brimstone, where the Beast and the False Prophet were [cast into it a thousand years before - see Rev.19:20], and [the Devil and his demons; for whom the Lake of Fire is prepared] SHALL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVER AND EVER." (Rev.20:10 KJV)

The "eternal torment and suffering" of the false, satanic dogma of "hell" [Gehenna's Lake of Fire] that Satan and his demons have superimposed into man's false religions was never prepared for man, of whom the wicked ones will burn up in that fire. But the "eternal suffering and torment" will be that of Satan and his demons; who will then become eternally "dispossessed"... finding no rest anywhere or in any thing.

But, for now, while they control and influence the way things are perceived and done on this earth [while they are presently restrained here on earth until their trial on Judgment Day]... they have caused the false religions of this world to "believe" that an "ever-burning hell fire" of Eternal Torture is intended for MAN... where men burn forever, but never burn up!

And while they were at it, deceiving man about the Lake of Fire that's being prepared for Satan and his demons... they also included among the erroneous "beliefs" of the world's false religions the "belief" that God has promised mankind that man will "go to heaven! " A false religious teaching in the world that God's Word clearly reveals is truly the "heartfelt desire and obsession" of Satan himself:

"For thou hast said IN THINE HEART, I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN [I will go to heaven, Satan says in his heart -- the only place in the Bible that comes remotely close to anyone promising or threatening to "go to heaven." While Jesus reveals the TRUTH that NO ONE goes there - John 3:13], I will exalt MY THRONE above the stars of God [stars are symbols of angels - see Rev.1:20]... I will ascend above the heights of the clouds [Satan was standing on the earth when he thought these things, for clouds are a phenomena which occurs within the earth's atmosphere]; I will be like the Most High [I will BE GOD, is Satan's desire]." (Isa.14:13-14 KJV)

This, then, is some of what the Bible says about "hell" AND "heaven"... and "Satan."
