You need to have an air rifle permit granted by the commissioner of police in order to own an air rifle. To obtain one you first need to obtain a certificate of good character from your district police station and write a simple cover letter addressed to the commissioner requesting permission to purchase and own one (1) smooth bore .177 caliber air rifle (that's all that's allowed in this country). This letter together with the certificate of character needs to be dropped in to the office of the commissioner of police in Port of Spain and they will tell you when it will be granted. Some air rifle dealers go through the trouble of doing this for you once you make a down payment on a gun and you only need provide them with the letter and certificate and they handle it from there and let you know when you can collect your permit and gun.
the airrifle's are available at Agostini's in port of spain, they range in price from $1783 to $7360 but anywhere else im not sure of but if you want to drive there you can but i would not because gas can get real pricey so if you can come up with a couple $115 dollars come back to me and we will see what happens
