The phrase "Jesus was the light of the world" can be found in the Bible, specifically in the Gospel of John, where Jesus refers to himself as the light of the world in John 8:12 and John 9:5.
In the King James Version of the Bible, Jesus says He is the "light of the world" twice. John 8:12 - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying , I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 9:5 - As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Jesus called his disciples "the salt of the Earth" and "the light of the world".
There are 309 Bible verses that speak of light, but there are a number of meanings in these words, including, 'the agent that stimulates our sense of sight' There are also combinations of 'light' as 'lightning' and 'lighted' And then there are many verses in the Bible that speak of both Jesus and his believers to be the light of the world. There is a lot to look up!

There are no scriptures directly relating to lighthouses. There are many scriptures relating to God's people being a light to the world, and over time, some versions of the Bible have altered the wording to be "Lighthouse" rather than "a light". An example is found in Isaiah 42:6, which states: "I have set you among my people to bind them to Me, and provided you as a light to the nations." In a very recent version of the Bible, the wording has been changed to "lighthouse", but if one returns to the original texts, the word lighthouse is not used.
