Yes, But... the VIN number is stored in the radio. You will need to take your vehicle to someone (probably a GM dealer) the that has a Class 2 GM Scan tool and have them program the radio with your VIN number.

The Vortec is the GM 4.3L VIN Code "W" engine, the X is the non-Vortec

usually it says on the engine otherwise write the VIN down and google vin code search or call a gm dealer and they can decode it for you.
