It appears there are no references to God's people onlyas "his daughters." There are at least two references to His "sons and daughters," one in the Old Testament and one in the New:
Isaiah 43:5, 6 - "Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not keep them back!' Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth"
2 Corinthians 6:18 - "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty."
[NKJV]
The Bible is the only book where God is speaking to us. The Bible is God telling us what we need to do with our lives. The Bible tells us that God is everything. He is omnipresent (everywhere), merciful, everlasting, caring, loving, all powerful, unchangeable, He is everything! It tells us that God came down in human form, lived in human life, and then died in pain for us. When Jesus came back to real life after 3 days, that meant that we could now speak to God on our own. Whatever questions you have about God, you can find the answer in the Bible. When you read the Bible, you're reading the word of God.
The Bible has two authors: God and humans.
The Bible does not say this. God is never done with us. The Bible says you are saved when you confess with mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord.
The bible is God's holy word. He speaks to every one of us through the bible. For every problem in your life, there is a solution to it in God's holy word. The bible guides us, and helps us through this tough life, until we get to heaven.
Bible is used as talking material between God & Us. God gives his answers to us through Bible. Bible is read daily by people. The bible is read to let people understands lot of things that happened in the past and is really important for us to remember. like the story of christ.
It depends on the version of the bible that you reference. In the Good News Bible it states in Genesis "Then God said, "And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us."
The Bible is God
The Bible is an ancient record of the dealings of God with people of Israel. It can teach us what it is God expects of us. It can teach us that God loves us. it can teach us God's plan for our happiness.
No we were closer to god when it all started in the Bible but we are always with god.
Primarily the Bible is God's revelation of himself through history. The Bible starts at Creation (what we would call the 'Big bang') and progresses through the history of the fledgeling Jewish nation and God's revelation of himself to them through the prophets and the first covenant between God and humans in that God would promise to look after and love his people. Ultimately the Bible completes God's revelation through the second covenant - the second agreement between God and us - in the form of Jesus - the ultimate manifestation of God's love. Finally, the Bible finishes with the end of the world when jesus returns as judge.
H. G. G. Herklots has written: 'The call of God' 'How does Grace come to us?' 'Fresh approach to the New Testament' 'How the Bible came to us' -- subject(s): Christianity, The Bible, Bible manuscripts, Bible versions
In most languages, the God of Christianity is called "God" in whatever the language is, but the Bible also gives us other names for God, such as Jehovah, Yahweh, Elohim, etc., and the translations for these and other biblical names for God may be used also. There is not just one name for God in the Bible.
