The word "prosperous" occurs 8 times in 8 verses in the KJV bible.
Maybe because God doesn't want us dwell on apperances.
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son..." (Heb.1:1-2)
The Bible does not say this. God is never done with us. The Bible says you are saved when you confess with mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Because many Christians today don't get what they need from God's word. There not following what the Bible says. But don't judge all of us by some of us.
It depends on the version of the bible that you reference. In the Good News Bible it states in Genesis "Then God said, "And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us."
