lava underneath earths surface builds up and it erupts
volcanoes emerge from the hot interior of our earth. magma (which is lava underground) makes its way up through the earths crust and creates a mound of earth, that gets bigger as more magma seeps into it. when the preassure gets to much the volcano erupts, and there is the volcano!
The ejecta from a volcano, (including the fluid ones here for this answer) all come from either the magma, or from a descending plate in a subduction zone.
The ocean floor contains much light weight material from airfall, and when this is subducted in the descending plate, eventually, some of it will reach its melting point, and blobs of this will rise and form volcanoes on the land surface. The ash part of which will quickly fall to the sea again.
volcanoes form underwater and come to the surface when they erupt
From what I know, volcanoes are formed from the sea, making an island, and from land. Special tip: Ash is like fertilizer for the crops.
The material that forms volcanoes originates in the Earth's mantle.

Geysersspout up 70 feet. With a terrible hissing noise,at regular intervals. In this section are the great springs ,so hot that meat is readily cooked in them.
There are smallamount of volcanoes. They emit so2 and co2 gases.
This is where the weaknesses in the earths crust lie and it is the easiest place for lava to spew out of these weaker areas, therefore forming volcanoes

At convergent boundaries some mantle material can melt and rise through the crust, forming volcanoes.
the material is hotter & denser
the material is hotter & denser
The earths interior is cold
why do you think scientists study earths interior?if you were a scientists ,will you undertake a study of the earths interior?
Rising materials causes rifting; sinking material causes subduction.
