I don't know excatly, But Iam pretty sure that Chevy put's the "Icm" in the distributor or on the coil pack. Your vehical however might not have a ignition module the "Power train control module"(pcm) in some vehical's control's spark timing.
Check the ignition control module (autozone) and check coil resistance. After that not sure I have same problem with new icm and new coil.
Remove distributor cap. remove rotor. remove icm shield. remove all wires from icm. remove two screws holding icm. pull icm strait out
What is ICM Non combustible
The 1992 Ford Ranger ICM is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The ICM will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
Icm is not an abbreviation for any part on a Jeep Cherokee that I am aware of.
ICM
The CS in ICM-CS stands for Campaign Star.
Auto zone carries the ICM. I did my ICM & Coil together. Be sure the trigger/triggers are working (they rarely die). I tested mine using an LED and spinning the distributor by hand to get a pulse out of the LED. Adam Goldstein
ICM
You didn't say which engine, but, The 24L DOHC engine is located in the top coil pack cover It is a rectangle shape plugin next to the fuel lines. On an 2.2L OHV engine follow the plug wires. It will be underneeth the coil pack. Either way the coil packs are sitting on top of the ICM....
This code is set when the pcm gives 5v signal to ignition bypass and dose not get a return signal from icm, check wiring at pcm and icm possible icm fault, or crank sensor.
No it would not only a bad (ICM) Ignition control module or a bad injector would...
