escherichia is the "E" in E-coli, the symptoms are severe abdominal pain and diarrhea. its a bacterial infection resulting from consuming undercooked meat or unpasturized dairy products ANSWER E coli also live in our digestive tract producing vitamin K and some vitamins B. Some strains of e.coli will give you problems and symptoms described in answer above mine.
It is found in colon or small intestine and so the name suggest "coli"
