I have a 1997 S10 with the V6, but I think the answer is the same. The FTPS is a little plastic box (black on my truck) on top of the fuel tank, right on top of the circular array of stuff that includes the electrical connections for the fuel pump, the connections for the fuel level gauge, and the three pipes that connect via plastic tubes to the steel fuel lines both forward to the engine (large one carrying fuel forward, smaller one with return of extra fuel) and backward (one, still smaller) to the vapor collection canister. I have not removed it yet, so I cannot say how it is physically held in place. I may have to take it off, something there (not the lines) is leaking fuel whenever the pump runs, probably a crack somewhere in all that cursed plastic.
