The 2004 GM V8 Engines Use a form of Coil-On-Cylinder Ignition. In effect, The Engine in your suburban (4.8l, 5.3l, 6.0l, or 8.1l ) acctualy has eight (8) ignition coils... they are located on the valve cover mounted rail (4 per side) at the top end of the spark plug wires. I have 2004 Chevy classic car not surburban.
BEHIND the starter. You MUST remove the starter to get to it.
how many axles does a 2008 chevy suburban have/
On top of the engine. Look for a plastic tube with the small green service cap then follow that line back to the engine. That line is connected to the purge valve. You will have to remove the black plastic engine cover to expose it.
In 2004 Chevy moved the fuel filter from the drivers side frame rail and put it inside of the fuel tank.

Yes, the PCV valve is located on the passenger side of the intake manifold. It is nearÊthe center of the engine on that side.
