Hello
Taco
Are there learn factory locations in Mexico?
a factory in Mexico run by a foreign company and exporting its products to the country of that company.
First one needs to make sure the piece is indeed 60's or 70's. If the pig is in a deep peach/flesh tone, than the pig is 80's to current. Sermel is hit or miss in the collectable market. You may be able to get as much as $40-50 from the right collector for the pig. But most likely $20-30. I have purchased them for around $10 at local Antique malls of late. There are also folks out there who would love to advertise the piece as a Sergio Bustamante, as he was the "Ser" in Sermel…however, Sergio left the factory in the late 60's, early 70's to establish himself as a fine artist. There really is no way to distinguish whether the pig was made or painted by Sergio.
LEGO no longer has a factory in Enfield CT, Only Corporate offices. The factory was closed in 2000 and relocated to Mexico.
