where is a transmission sensor that may cause an 02 Ford Ranger 4.0 liter to feel as though it may be skipping during acceleration?
During acceleration? I'm not sure. But when both idling and acceleration the engine's combustion can cause a lot of vibration in the steering wheel if you are in an older vehicle.
A Dodge Neon may experience shaking during acceleration due to bad spark plugs, incorrect ignition timing, or a failing transmission. Shaking can also occur from worn motor or transmission mounts.
If your car shakes while accelerating check your motor mounts. Then check your transmission.
check the u joints.if vehicle is standard shift,i would also check the clutch
Leak in your exhaust where the pipes from each cylinder come to meet under your transmission usually
That's true throughout any period of time during which the acceleration is constant.
I posted this question, as it turns out the auto transmission just needed a good service, it hasn't jumped out of gear since the service, and is even changing gear smoother.
Could be time for a transmission service by having the fluid and screen replaced. if that doesn't do it you may want to have a reputable transmission place inspect and or adjust the power bands based on your milage being high or not. Could be a torque converter problem. Worst case scenario is a malfunctioning or damaged transmission.
That transmission is a Mazda M50D-R1 - Most important thing you can do to have this transmission last is MAINTAIN PROPER OIL LEVEL - It is a real leaker due to design flaw, but only leaks during operation, so no puddle under the truck - Check yer oil frequently!!
coolant entering the combustion chambers, possibly thru head gasket, intake manifold, etc. What vehicle? 2005ford power stroke deisel
Acceleration means speeding up or slowing down, a change in velocity. Since the velocity was constant, the acceleration was. 0
Dividing change of velocity by the time it takes to change the velocity. If acceleration is not constant, this will give you the average acceleration during the period; to get the instantaneous acceleration, you have to take the derivative of the velocity.
