It's located on the right side of the bike. Pull the seat off and the right side case and remove the 3 allen bolts holding on the tupperware. I found it by trial and error. Having owned a Honda ST1100, I pulled the left side case and tupperware without even thinking that maybe Honda had switched the battery to the other side of the bike on the ST1300. Yep, it wasn't there.
