No cam sensor. Just a crank sensor on the bottom of the timing cover
The cam sensor is located on the left side of the engine (as your looking at it) on the valve cover
I have a 98 Suburban with the 5.7 vortec V8. The cam sensor is in the distributor. Remove the cap and rotor to get to the sensor. Hope this helps.
