Later models (possibly your 2002 - I can't recall) only have one and it is also on the front/top of the intake manifold (on the driver's side I believe).
Answer:
Look on front runner of intake manifold where coolant flows through the start of the thermo. on the left front side. Next to that thermostat is the coolant temp. sender for the gauge. On the right side is the temp. sensor for controlling the electric fans and how the fans respond to a/c. Usually the sender is one hot wire and the sensor has two or three and a ground.
To monitor the temperature of the engine coolant.

That would depend on which temeprature sensor you are asking about. Is it the coolant temperature sensor or the air charge tenerature sensor you are asking about?
It is part of the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Located at the Air Filter Box end of the Air Intake yube.
on the rear of the air cleaner box.

where is the DPFE sensor located on a 2002 ford crown victoria?
where is the cam sensor located on a 2003 ford crown vic
if there is not a small two-wire sensor in the side of the air filter box cover, then it is built into the MAF sensor. If it has a separate IAT sensor, then the pigtail for it will actually be off of the MAF sensor harness pigtail.
Both sides. On the exhaust.
On a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria : Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine Sensor 2 ( downstream sensor ) would be in the exhaust after the catalytic converter
