i had that same prob but with a 2005 it might not be the same but in the glove box there is a panel with screws just undo the screws take of the panel and there u go
Fuse box to 2006 Jeep Liberty is just inside the driver side door to the down beside the dashboard--not in the glove box. There's a big "finger indentation point" so you'll know where to pop it up.
