You will need to remove the anti-freeze from your 1997 Chevrolet Venture cooling system. Remove the water lines from the heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
Not a fun job to do... They come from the heater core located on the passenger side of the firewall. becasue it's a Chevy Venture/Olds Silhouette/Pontiac Montana... this job is not easy.

The heater core is part of the heating and cooling system, and it is the circulation of the radiator fluid that supplies heat to the core. The water pump on the car is what is responsible for the circulation of radiator fluid.
Remove the water supply hoses from your 1985 Chevy heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. The heater core will come out. Reverse the process to install your new heater core.
The heater core is plugged. Blow it out with a compressor. If that does not work replace the heater core.
Detach the screw that attaches the heater duct on a Chevy Cavalier and remove the heater core. Once this is done you can replace the faulty heater core with a functional one.
