The Geo Storm, Isuzu Impulse, 91 Lotus Elan and several others share the same transmission housing w/ different gearing. The Isuzu manual transmission fill plug is the speedometer cable gear hole on top of transmission. Leave the speedometer cable connected, loosen the one bolt on the retaining plate. Remove the gear. Above the gear you will notice fill marks, low and high. 1st drain the transmission when the fluid is hot as to keep particulate in suspension. Then replace the drain plug and fill w/ something slightly less than manufacturers listed capacity. 1.9L or 4 U.S. Pints on the Isuzu. Wipe the gear clean, place back w/o retaining plate, remove and check level. Repeat until adequate. Replace gear and tighten retaining plate.
