Where is metal plate located at on engine block of 1994 Toyota 4Runner?
What do u mean? if u meanthe engine number then check under the intake manifold at the driver side just below the throttle body deep down.
On my 92 Toyota Pickup V6 4X4, it is located in a different section than on the 4cyl. If you are looking straight at the engine, look to your right and down into the engine. Look for the LOWER radiator hose and follow it into the engine block. Romove the housing and this is where the thermostat on my truck was located
As I have been instructed by Toyota, located the bottom radiator hose, follow it to a connection to a metal tube that runs to the left side, rear of the engine, At the end of the tube, in the engine block, is the thermostat. I'll be changing mine this weekend and I will give additional info, if needed, after the replacement is complete.
The engine is a V-6 3.0 liter 3VZE-F engine... It has aluminum heads... there is a recall on the head gasket for this model... they are VERY tricky... The recall can be taken in anytime for a new one... I own a 1991 Toyota pickup dxl 4wd. the head gasket has already been done once... now it has blown on me again!!! I was quoted $1800.00 from the dealership if there is no head/block damage.
If you follow the lower radiator hose, it connects to a pipe on the engine block. Follow that pipe and it goes towards the rear of the motor (about 8 inches) and turns left into the block. There are bolts there that need to be removed that hold the housing in. The thermostat is there. Hard to get to....good luck.
I need to drain the engine coolant from the engine block on a 1997 transport. Where is the engine drain plug located?
Unknown year - In front of the drivers side rear wheel. It's bolted to the frame. On my 1994 4runner it's bolted to the frame on the PASSENGER side about midway between the front and rear wheels. Toyota states you should never have to replace a fuel filter as they are designed for life; unless you know for a fact you have purchased bad gas. On my '96 Limited it's on the left frame rail…
