Bank one is the passenger side of the engine and sensor 2 is after the catalytic converer ( it is an oxygen sensor but is called a catalyst monitor because it monitors the efficiency of the catalytic converter - it has nothing to do with adjusting the air/ fuel ratio ) that is what sensor 1 is for
Exhaust manifold.
The 1998 Ford Ranger speed sensor ring can be located on the passenger wheel. The speed sensor ring will be on the inside of the brake rotor.
All oxygen sensors are located in the exhaust system.
In a 1998 Jeep Wrangler, the oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust pipe. It can be found just below the junction of the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe.
Starter motor
www. motorcraft. com ( no spaces ) does not list a MAP sensor for the 3.0 L in a 1998 Ford Ranger , there is an AIR MASS SENSOR listed which I assume is the same as a mass air flow sensor which would be located near your air filter housing
my motor light is on my 1998 e320
On the 98 u have two oxygen sensors an upstream and a downstream. The upstream oxygen sensor is located closer to the front of the truck by the transmission. The downstream oxygen sensor is located on down torwards the back of the truck along the side of the frame.
under the intake manifold on the driver side by the firewall
Somewhere on the exhaust system. LOOK
in the catalyc converter... exhaust manifold
The oxygen sensor on any vehicle is located on under the car on the top of the muffler pipe just behind the cadallidic converter....do you know what the oxygen sensor looks like so you know what you're looking for?
