Both oxygen sensors are located on the catalytic converters. Sensor 1 is in front of the front converter and sensor 2 is either at the rear of the front converter or the front of the rear converter. They are only a foot or so apart.
It would be the sensor after the catalytic converter.
behind the catalytic converter
Bank 1 sensor 2 is the sensor after the catalytic converterBank 1 sensor 2 is the sensor after the catalytic converter
Just locate the connector with the white cable, in the front of the Engine and it lead you to the oxygen sensor. It has to be attached to the Pre- Cat
That is the oxygen sensor screwed into the downstream side of the catalytic converter. That is the oxygen sensor screwed into the downstream side of the catalytic converter.
where is the bank1 o2 sensor at and how do i change it please i need your help
It is the one on the passenger side behind the catalytic converter
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine in your Ford Explorer Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
Bank 1 is the oxygen sensor either screwed into ,or above the catalytic converter. Bank 2 is below the catalytic converter.
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine in your 2001 Ford F-150 Sensor 1 is in the exhaust before the catalytic converter ( upstream ) Sensor 2 is in the exhaust after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
Your in luck...that should be the oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold at the front of the engine compartment. Bank 2 is the bank of cylinders that does NOT contain the #1 cylinder. That bank is bank 1. Sensor 1 is the oxygen sensor upstream of the catalytic converter, and sensor 2 is the one after the cat.
the o2sensor(oxygen sensor)is on the exhaust if i recall right. There are (2) oxygen sensors on the 2001 Dodge caravan (in this case Sport / SE edition) One is accesable under the hood the other is down in the exaust array past the catalytic converter. If your error message is showing that your heating element is out in the O2 sensor... its the front sensor.
