where the bmw radio amp located
I have just installed a indash in my infiniti i30 1998. The amp and subwoofers work but the speakers in the inside of the car does not work. Did I blow a fuse or do I have to bypass the factory amps. The system that I took out before the installation was a factory bose system.
underneath the radio. you can access the amp by pushing up the two vents located near the radio. this will give you access to two hidden screws (located on top of both vents) remove the face plate. the amp should be sitting underneath the radio.
The radio amp on a 99 VW Jetta is located under the driver side dash. It is in the fuse number 42 slot.
It is most likely an integrated part of the radio itself.
There is an amp inside the radio unit. Depending on radio type used there may also be a secondary amp inside the trunk mounted high up just below the rear windshield.

The Pontiac Montana does not come with a factory installed amp in the sound system. The wiring goes directly from the radio to the speakers.
