There is no sensors for the cooling fans. there is a relay switch/circuit breaker. It is under the hood in a black box on the passenger side. If after replacing that and fans still continue not to work replace cooling fan motor. First find out which one of the 2 does not work. replace fan motor that is non operational. you must pull the radiator out to do this job. It is not that hard to do just time consuming.

I too am having the exact same problem!
Where is the engine cooling fans sensor located on a 2000 Corvette ? Screwed in the driver side cyinder head just behind the Alternator. this is referred to as the temperature sensor. Hope this helps. Mike
The cooling fans on a 2002 Grand Am GT might not be working because of a problem with a fuse. There is also a temperature sensor in the engine that tells the fans when to come on. This sensor may be bad.
The coolant temp sensor is located next to the thermostat housing. The radiator fan relay is located under the aircleaner box, bolted to the "frame rail".
Check the temperature sensor
Most vehicles locate that sensor close to the thermostat housing.
replace the cooling temperature sensor
engine cooling fan should not do this - bad temp sensor likely
No, the electric cooling fans turn on and off by a signal from the coolant temp sensor. The coolant level sensor only illuminates the low coolant light when you are low on coolant.
The cooling fans are controlled by the engine computer. It watches the coolant temp sensor, which is near the thermostat, to decide when to run the fans. Yhe computer acuates a realy to turn the fans on.
On the back of the right head, hard to get to.
