depends on the year of the vehicle mostly but the e40d is electronically controled and so is the fiod tranny the electronics wont be the same.
NO
e40d or 4r100.. being that year model, id say the e40d
try changing fluid and filter (if any)
you must know year model and type of transmission. if it is the five speed torque shift it uses mercron SP e40d uses mercron 3
The e4od is electronically controlled.
is the ck engine light on..most will not shift with out vss
e40d or 4r100
More than likely it is a C6. If the shift indicator has a circled "D" (for overdrive) it is probably an AOD. But I am not certain they put AODs behind 351 (5.8) that year.
yes if its a e40d
Basically the E4OD transmission is an electronic 4 speed transmission with overdrive.
usually it is an e40d if it is an automatic It's surely and auto. I'm no aware of any F150 with a 5.8 that has a five speed. I only know because I'm converting a 95 5.8 auto to a five speed and the parts I've been gathering are all for an F250. Anyway, your tranny, depending on the year is one of the following, C6 E40D AOD. Depending on what year you have it will either be a C-6 transmission or an E6OD transmission. E4OD's did not come out until later in the 90's. It would be called an A4OD.
