The speed sensor is on the top of the tansaxle. The speedometer driver gear and speed sensor is combined as one unit in the tranny. Be careful pulling it out. Others have done so and dropped the drive gear down into the wells of the transmission effectively keeping the shift levers from operating. You will probably have to take the battery and box out to get to it. You may also have to take the intake tunnel out.
