#1 cylinder is in back under alternater, 1-3-5 in back -- 2-4-6 in front,
Number 1 cylinder is the front cylinder....1..2..3..4 front to back.
front cylinder on passenger side . . . front to back passenger side 1,3,5,7 front to back driver side 2,4,6,8
Front. On a V6 or V8, driver's side front.
If you're standing behind your car... Cylinder 1 is front right Cylinder 2 is back right Cylinder 3 is front left Cylinder 4 is back left
standing in front of your car and looking at the motor no. 1 is the left back cylinder
The back is the front and the front is number 1
The number 4 cylinder is typically at the back of the motor while the number 1 cylinder is located at the front. This is done to minimize confusion and streamline the repair process.
Bank 1 is whatever side cylinder #1 is on, could be front or back.
Starting from the front (the front is where your radiator fan is located) driver side (#1 cylinder), it alternates back and forth. I.e.-#1 is front driver side, #2 is front passenger side, #3 is behind #1, #4 is behind #2, etc. Basically, from front to back on the driver side, the cylinders are #1, #3, and #5, and from front to back on the passenger side the cylinders are #2, #4, and #6.
Left front cylinder. Left side is 2-4-6, back to front. Right Side is 1-3-5 back to front.
I assume you have a 318 CI. Cylinder 1 is located on the drivers side. It is the cylinder closest to the front of the engine. Drivers side: Front of engine 1, 3, 5, 7 back of engine Passenger side: Front of engine 2, 4, 6, 8 back of engine
