there is a computer for the automatic transmission but i did not think there was a relay. I would have to double check.
It's probably the torque converter lockup relay. It could also be the torque converter, but there isn't any way to test this on your own. You'll have to take it to a trustworth transmission shop.
Eatx stands for electronic automatic transmission controller the eatx relay provides power for the controller and the backup eatx relay is for the backup lights.
if it wont downshift it sound like transmission problems
it is located in the fuse box (under the hood), if you flip the fuse box cap you will see the diagram that signals the location of every fuse in it. The automatic transmission control relay is labeled AT in such diagram. It is a black sort of rectangular shaped relay.

Does it really matter if it is a fuse or relay the key word here is "Transmission failure light" take it in and have it checked out the computer they hook it to will tell them what the problem is. Hope This Helps.
If it is a automatic transmission there is no starter relay but, an ignition relay instead. If it is manual the starter relay is located under the hood at the fuse box on the left (drivers) side.
the fuel pump relay for a Mazda b3000 is under the hood. It is a 15 amp relay in the fuse box.
Check either: Solenoid, Wiring, Switch, or OD Relay.
In the fues box under the hood on drivers side or left front fender well.
