P0401 means no flow at the dpfe sensor. Usually a bad sensor. or bad hoses from egr ports to dpfe.

Mine was doing this also and stalling bad. I found a broken vacuum line going to the DPFE sensor. The problem came back several weeks later. I cleaned the connections to the DPFE and MAF sensors with contact cleaner. Replaced the DPFE sensor, and found I had a broken clip on the MAF sensor connector (probably the actual problem. If you aren't getting enough air flow, or the computer thinks you aren't from bad sensors or connections, it adjusts the mixture leaner.
