it is located underneath your drivers side dash area. do not tear apart your steering column, not necessary. unscrew 2 screws in middle of dash and pops out with some effort. you will see it and has 2 bolts to unscrew it. one on top. one in the botton....
There isn't one, its wired into the ECM.
The cooling temp sensor for the ecm is located under the fill tank located on the pass. side fender well (the black plastic tank with the rad. cap).
Both "temp gauge sensor" and also the "temp sensor for the ECM" are on the right side top of engine pointing towards the passenger doors front frame in a cross-over tube. The two wire sensor is the ECM sensor and the one wire is the gauge sensor.
The sensor located closest to the firewall is the vehicle speed sensor, This sensor tells the ECM how fast the car is moving, that information is than relayed to the speedometer in your instrument cluster. The speed sensor on the front of the transmission is a Turbine Speed sensor. The ECM watches the relation of the Turbine speed sensor to the shifting perimeters to make sure the transmission isn't slipping.
The sensor for the temp gauge in the 96 S10 4.3L would be the sensor located between #3 and #5 spark plugs, it has one wire plugged to it. The temp sensor for the ECM is located next to the thermostat housing, it has two wires plugged to it.
Two wire sensor near the thermostat housing.
A knock sensor is a low voltage sensor that sends information to the ecm, and then the ecm makes changes in order to try and control the knocking. In my experience all knock sensors are located on the engine somewhere because that's where the knocking occours.
The ECM is located directly behind the battery under the hood. held down by 2 10mm bolts, and has one large electrical connector held tight by a 7mm stud.
There is not a separate cooling fan sensor, it controlled by the ECM which get it's reading from the ECT (engine coolant temp sensor)
it is located next to the ecm behind glove box
were is the location ecm on a 1996 Nissan maxima
where is the ECM located on my 2000 Jimmy? where is the ECM located on my 2000 Jimmy?
