According to my Chilton repair manual , fuse # 16 is a 15 amp fuse for the fuel
gauge on a 1994 Ford Ranger
it would be the fuel gauge relay or fuse located at or located in the vehicle.
If the fuel gauge is not operating on your 1994 Cadillac Eldorado touring coupe, you might have an issue with the sensor or with the fuse for the fuel gauge. You will need to check your electrical system first.
It could be the fuse, but mine is because the floater that measures for the gauge is stuck.
Looking at my Chilton repair manual engine wiring schematics ( with a magnifying glass ) for the 1992 Ford Ranger it looks like fuse # 16 is a 15 amp fuse for the fuel gauge
Fuse locations are in the back of the owners handbook, or elsewhere as indicated by the index. Is your gauge inoperative? My 93 Ranger gauge become inop. Turned out to be a brass float had slowly leaked fuel into it. It sank to the bottom and stayed there instead of bobbing on the surface of the fuel. I replaced the whole sending unit in mine.
Yes , I believe it is fuse # 17 , a 15 amp fuse for the fuel gauge
The Ranger fuel gauge could have several problems causing it not to work. These problems include, blown fuse, bad wiring, loose connections, or a bad fuel sending unit in the fuel tank.
I looked at my Chilton repair manual and the engine wiring schematic for a 1994 Ford Explorer shows ( fuse # 17 - 15 amp - for fuel gauge )
Bad fuse - I believe it is fuse # 17 - 15 amp for the fuel gauge on your 1994 Explorer bad sending unit - it's combined with your fuel pump inside the fuel tank bad wiring connection possibly the gauge itself
Replace the fuel pump/fuel level indicator, mounted on top of gas tank.... ANSWER The 1994 also has a 15 amp fuse in location # 17 for the fuel gauge (Helpfull)
Most vehicles have one fuse that protects all the gauges so if the fuel gauge is the only one not working, the fuse is probably okay. Most causes for a inop fuel gauge is a faulty fuel gauge sending unit in the fuel tank.
Start by checking the fuse. The 1991 to 1994 Ford Explorers have a 15 amp fuse in location # 17 of the fuse panel for the fuel gauge. (according to my Haynes repair manual)
