I'm going to assume its an Ford 6.4L diesel and the sensor is known to fail. They are also known to strip the hex head, pull threads on exhaust pipe, damage threads on sensor and pipe replacement due to these things happening. Some symptoms that could occur with a failing egt11 is no boost, dpf regen issues, engine light, lacking power and a whole lot of other issues. Its located on the passenger side exhaust pipe in back of the engine. Remove the right front wheel. Then remove the inner splash guard that's tucked up in the fender. Once that's out if looking straight at strut tower look left and you will see a sensor sticking out of one of the many exhaust pipes that the 6.4L has. Get the vehicle hot before doing this and work fast and when the exhaust is still hot spray with PB blaster penetrate or wd-40. Disconnect the sensor and you can try putting a wrench on it and loosen but be careful the hex head is very soft and rounds very easy. I've had success with cutting the wire off the sensor and put a 6-point deep socket and loosen with the ratchet. If that doesn't work or you just wanna start with the best way and thats to heat the sensor and pipe with torch. Using a flare nut wrench and(or 6-point socket trick ) try when its super heated and this typically works. If you round the hex head and get sensor out but its slow to come out then the threads have stripped in the bung of the exhaust pipe and the new sensor typically will not catch enough (if any) threads to properly secure the sensor. If this is the scenario you will need to replace a section of pipe and that's a whole other beast. So get engine hot, spray, cut wires off sensor, use heat and deep 6-point socket with rachet or flare nut wrench to loosen. Good luck I hope this helps!!
