On the 2003 2.3 liter 16 valve engine, the MAP sensor is located on top of the intake manifold (black) toward the back (firewall). It has 3 wires coming out toward the passenger side. The OEM part # is 1S7A-9F479-AB.

i called the ford dealership they recominded that u not do it yoursealf unless you had a full shop worth of equipment i have a 93 ford ranger 2.3L 5speed and i had it done by a local mechanic for 300 i bout the parts myself it was worth it..

On my 1993 Ranger, 2.3L, it is a bolt between the two front wheels underneth the engine. Should be pretty easy to spot. The oil filter is on the drivers side of the engine, towards the bottom. Also easy to spot.
