The B17F named "Memphis Belle" was "repossesed" by the US Air Force some 3 or 4 years ago because they did not think Memphis was taking care of it. It is undergoing compete restoration which will take 8 years. I think it is at Wright-Patterson AFB, the home of the US Air Force Museum, but parts of it may be scattered to various contractors. For example, before the Air Force took it away, the brakes and tires were being restored at Honeywell Maintenance and Repair Facility at Memphis.
