you would expect it to be under the left side of the dash like most cars but the swedes well they are a breed of their own. so it could be on the right side under the dash or it could be behind the ash tray or even in the center console. lol
Under the coin holder in the center console. Just pull up on the coin holder and remove and you will see OBD II port.

Should be OBD I, OBD II is 1996 and newer
The 1996 Honda Civic OBD 2 port is under dash on left side connector faces down
The 1996 Honda Accord OBD 2 port is inside storage behind ashtray
The 1996 Ford F-250 OBD 2 port is on lower edge of dash middle on dash before glove compartment
The 1996 Honda Accord OBD 2 port is inside storage behind ashtray
The 1996 GEO Tracker OBD 2 port is on driver side dash next to center console
The 1996 Honda Civic OBD 2 port is on driver side,connector faces down
The 1996 Mercury Cougar OBD 2 port is under passenger side dash above glove box
That should be the OBD I system. OBD II started in 1996.
