The PCM is located on the drivers side of the engine compartment about 3/4 of the way toward the headlights, it has a big black plastic cover over a grey-metal finned plate Texas toast thick plate and it has two sets of wiring harness's coming out of it.
All you have to do to replace it is remove the black plastic cover, unhook the harness cables, and remove it based on what screws and bolts you can get to.
Be warned, the replacement PCM must match the VIN on the BCM or your car WILL NOT START.

The sensor is located on top of the transmission, and should be easy to unscrew. It is recommended that you change both input and output at the same time.
CTS is a cadillac model In the cobalt manual its referred to as ECT, or Electronic Coolant Thermometer It is located in the back right of the motor next to the thermostat. If you remove it, coolant will come out of that, but you can replace the new without loosing more than a half cup
It's in the trunk next to the spare tire.
