On a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac : I believe the PCV valve is on the REAR of the drivers side engine valve cover ( between the valve cover and the firewall )
IT DOSEN,T HAVE ONE
I have an 01 Chevy 5.3 single cab short bed 4x4. The PCV valve is on the back of the left valve cover.
On the 4 cylinder engine - it is on the top/back of the valve cover with a hose attaching it to the intake manifold.
,018" both intake and exhaust.
I actually found it after viewing another post. The port is behind the intake manifold above the EGR valve. Very tight space, so feel around back & connect that end first. Then connect the PCV end. Much easier that way. I believe it's the same for 01-04 Trackers V6 2.5L.
On a 2001 Lincoln Town Car , 4.6 V8 : No , the PCV valve is not electrically heated ( according to the Owner Guide it uses the Motorcraft EV-98 P.C.V. valve ) ( according to one of Ford's website , Motorcraft EV-98-B P.C.V. valve ) as of March 19 , 2013 the MSRP / list is $ 11.60 U.S. on the Ford website
the 01 tl has a timing belt.
